Throwing Practice… Practice Practice Practice!

I have been practising my throwing all weekend and now my arms ache! Ha!

I’m trying to teach myself to throw bigger work, but in order to do that I’m having to learn how to spiral wedge. This method of kneading the clay to get the air out allows you to wedge much bigger lumps of clay and if you get it right it looks really pretty, like so…

I’m still struggling with air bubbles in the clay, which means my wedging isn’t good enough! So, back to the wedging board and youtube tutorials I go!
